This position will support the development work for various projects that involve data visualization and analytics through tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Qlik.
The qualified co-op should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:
Assist business users in linking data from disparate sources
Conduct research on the best way to provide visual solutions for a particular business problem
Testing and maintenance of various applications
Quality assurance of end-user developed visuals prior to production release
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Participating in end-user requirements gathering sessions
Work on development tasks as outlined be lead developer
Maintain task list with tools such as jira and confluence
Communicate using Outlook, Skype, Teams and other communication tools
Degree in Computer Science or similar
Ability to Analyze and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data into actionable visualizations
Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Tableau, Power BI, Qlik
Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
Have full-time status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States
Completed at least 30 credit hours
Able to complete 3 rotating terms for co-op positions
Have at least 1 remaining term in school after the completion of the co-op or internship
Transfer students must have a GPA from current university
Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term
