Computer Network Defense Analyst (Cnda)

Assured Information Security (AIS) has multiple openings for Computer Network Defense Analysts (CNDA) located in Fort Meade, MD. As a CNDA, you will be given to opportunity to showcase your Network Defense skillsets and expertise while supporting missions that are vital to national security. These positions require a TS/SCI w/FS Poly.

As a Computer Network Defense Analyst, you will:

• Use information collected from a variety source (e.g., intrusion detection systems, firewalls, network traffic logs, and host system logs) to identify potential vulnerabilities, respond to cyber events that occur, and defend against events that might occur.
• Help develop mitigations to strengthen Network Defenses and protect against attacks on network infrastructure devices or systems.
• Your work may span the gamut of data transport possibilities, such as traditional wired networks, wireless transport (including Wi-Fi and cellular), collaborative platforms such as video teleconferencing, and the hardware and software that support it all.
• You can advance your career as you develop increasing expertise in networking protocols and architectures, cloud security, Internet of Things protocols, and advanced network security.
• Be part of a team, working together with government, military, and contractor personnel to develop shared understandings of intelligence needs, mission relevance, and areas of expertise.
• Apply your innate curiosity and analytical talent to form hypotheses, critically assess and choose analysis techniques, then query, merge, enrich, evaluate, and pivot within data to attain and share insights.
Distill, document, contextualize and share your findings-including any new tradecraft that you develop
• -with teammates, stakeholders, and intelligence consumers.

Education & Experience:

• Degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Active TS/SCI with FS Poly
• Relevant AMOD experience to include intrusion analysis, vulnerability analysis, operating and information system design
• Must have experience with agency specific TTP's (Technology Transfer Programs) and tools
• Experience with Cloud Architecture Development, Google Cloud Oracle, AWS, Cloud Network
• Must have extensive background in Cyber Offensive & Defensive methodologies.

Level 2

• 7 years’ applicable experience with an associate degree, OR
• 5 years’ applicable experience with a bachelor’s degree, OR
• 3 years’ applicable experience with a master’s degree

Level 3

• 10 years’ applicable experience with an associate degree
• 8 years’ applicable experience with a bachelor’s degree, OR
• 6 years’ applicable experience with a master’s degree

12-hour shifts may be available (0500 - 1700/1700 - 0500)

US Salary Range: $167,000 - $240,000
This position is hiring for multiple levels. The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on several factors including location, level, skills, and experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package which includes employer paid health insurance and a 7% contribution to your 401k, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation.
