Form of workCentral New York Position – We are seeking a COMPREHENSIVE OPHTHALMOLOGIST - in a privately owned practice located in Syracuse, New York, home of the Syracuse Orange. Office hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM. We are replacing an ophthalmologist who recently took an early retirement for medical reasons. He was a valued member, affiliated with the practice for over 12 years. Although he is not practicing, he is also available and would be pleased to meet or discuss the practice with any interested candidate. There are 3 ASC’s in close proximity to the office. One is physician owned. Weekend call is shared by the ophthalmology community on a rotating basis. We employ an Optometrist with on site optical services.
The 12 lane office, located adjacent to Syracuse University and SUNY Upstate campuses, is well-equipped with modern equipment including Haag Streit Slit-lamps, Zeiss OCT, Humphrey Visual Field, Zeiss IOL Master, Top-Con NW500 NM camera, Tonopens, Pachymeter and AutoRefractor/Keratometer. The clinical staff is JCAPHO certified with a vast amount of medical and surgical experience to assist you in patient care. Two NYS licensed opticians work directly with patients to provide a positive visual outcome with glasses and contact lenses. A proprietary EMR system is in place.
SUNY Upstate University provides an opportunity for Academic affiliation as well as the Center For Vision Research. Micron is investing $20 billion dollars in building a chip manufacturing facility in a suburb which will create thousands of new jobs in the area.
