Job Description
Astrodyne TDI is looking for hands-on/attention to detail individuals who enjoy rolling up their sleeves and working with a multidisciplinary team on the development of innovative products. Our Electrical Engineers design and develop power conversion, power control, and system communication products that are deployed in demanding environments ranging from industrial to military and aerospace. Our compliance Engineer will need to have knowledge in DO-160, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-810 in order to write Design Verification, Qualification, HALT and ALT test plans and execute them according to commercial air and military specifications. Compliance Engineer will need to coordinate with Program Managers, Design Engineers, and outside test labs in order to get the testing done in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:Development of DVT, Qual, HALT, and ALT test plans and procedures according to customer specifications for commercial air and military customers.
Participate of peer reviews on specifications for new R&D products
Use analytical tools to perform MTBF calculations.
Interact and direct engineering technicians in order to execute test plans in house and in outside labs when required.
Coordinate/create relationships with outside labs in order to perform test in a timely manner.
Peer review of component stress documentation charts, MTBF, and DFMEA analyses
Work with Technicians, Design Engineers, or individually in order to debug possible EMI and other non-compliances during product pre-qualification stage
Responsible maintenance of test results documentation and its release via engineering change notices if/when required
- Detail Oriented
- Familiar with DO-160, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, and other Military specifications.
- Familiarity with Boeing, Airbus, and other specific commercial air derivatives of DO-160 a plus
- Knowledge on best design practices to comply with different EMC standards.
- Experience troubleshooting EMC issues.
- Good writing and communication skills
- Leadership skills to drive projects to happen on time
EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline required
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
3-4 year minimum
