We are currently seeking a Compliance Specialist Advisor to join our team in Lincoln, Nebraska (US-NE), United States (US).
Compliance Specialist Advisor Basic Qualifications: Undergraduate degree and 10+ years relevant experience or Graduate degree and 8+ years relevant experience. Must have 3-5 years' experience overseeing an AML program. Must have 3-5 years' experience designing and implementing anti-money laundering controls.
Must have 1-2 years' experience with life insurance or annuity products. Responsibilities: Provide sound analytical guidance and counsel to various administrative teams as well as the compliance organization regarding Insurance Laws and Regulations. Position will serve as the AML program owner for Transaction Applications Group, Inc.
(TAG). Duties including but not limited to: Oversight of AML program, knowledge of form 8300 filings, SAR reviews, KYC and PEP. Creation, review and maintenance of AML related policies and procedures Review of new laws or regulations pertaining to AML and their effects on internal policies or procedures.
Understanding of OFAC screenings. Monitor functional and operational areas for compliance risks related to State and Federal regulations. Through formal and informal monitoring and assessment activities and may include government regulatory agencies.
Identify and interpret new State and Federal laws, regulations, and other contractual requirements by providing notification to internal and external customers, obtaining necessary approvals for implementation, and implementing and monitoring of the applicable law, regulation, or requirement and its impact to TAG and our customers. Respond to internal TAG and external customer legal, compliance, or audit inquiries relating to day-to-day business situations by conducting research and composing appropriate opinions. Manage the regulatory compliance relationship with customers and/or regulatory agencies; - Participates in forums and organizations, internal and external, to review training and educational materials regarding regulatory guidelines and mandates.
Conducts regulatory research and evaluates audit testing results. Draft opinions/documents for business needs related to such research and audit results. Communicates to Leadership and appropriate staff on the existence of applicable regulatory matters and assists on identifying areas likely to be impacted by the identified regulations or obligations by conducting regularly scheduled meetings and/or disseminating Compliance memorandums.
