Job Brief
Sezzle's Compliance Monitoring Analyst supports the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) in delivering compliance reviews, monitoring, and transaction surveillance in line with best practice and regulatory requirements across Sezzle's key business areas. This role reports directly to the CCO and helps to implement and maintain a sustainable best-in-class Compliance Function. Within this role you will be supporting the team in independent, second-line risk-based monitoring, along with full scope and limited scope reviews of procedures, business, and compliance processes to identify and escalate potential gaps in adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance, as well as bank sponsorship program guidelines. This position can be remote from anywhere in the United States, or you can work from our corporate office in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Salary Range
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $50,000 - $70,000 per year. Sezzle has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay across the U.S. for this role; the applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate's primary work location. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of the offer.

Job Duties
- Perform periodic reviews of business activities as mandated by the Sezzle Compliance Management System and Compliance Monitoring Program
- Apply qualitative and quantitative review methods and risk assessment methodologies
- Interact with all levels of employees, managers, including company executives and directors, to complete thorough, accurate and timely completion of periodic reviews
- Prepare written reports of findings and recommendations resulting from the monitoring reviews
- Prepare verbal and visual presentations to leadership teams to discuss monitoring reports and recommend corrective actions
- Develop strong inter- and intra-departmental relationships
- Assure accurate and thorough recordkeeping of all delivered work
- Track completion and maintain records of agreed remedial actions
- Assist in gathering and delivering relevant information for internal and external regulatory reviews, examinations or other supervisory events
- Assist the Chief Compliance Officer in completing other duties as assigned
Skills and Experience
- 2 or more years of experience in a Compliance Monitoring or related role inside a bank, credit union, or fintech environment
- Ability to prioritize and complete a broad range of tasks to meet deadlines
- Strong desire and ability to learn and use technology tools on the job
- Exert discretion and protect confidentiality in dealing with sensitive information
- Must possess extreme attention to detail while completing work in an organized and timely manner
- Excellence in building and maintaining strong relationships across the business
