Location: Alameda, CA
Duration: 12 months
- Work closely with the Product Quality Engineering team every day to coordinate the staging and disposal process.
- This involves planning, scheduling, and executing the tasks related to the removal and disposal of hazardous materials, equipment, and waste.
- Be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, as well as documenting and reporting the progress and outcomes of the process.
- Expected to communic ate effectively with the Engineering team and other stakeholders.
- Good understanding of MS Office [ Excel , Word, PowerPoint] for updating the inventory list as products are received and added to the inventory.
- Properly accounting for the location of incoming product.
- Handle devices/material enclosed in biohazard bags with labels.
- Assuring the bags with product are properly labeled for staging.
- Ensuring that the products in each transfer match the packing list and report any discrepancies.
- Occasional handling and lifting of packages, delivering to the shipping department when necessary.
- Packaging products for return to vendors and filling out any paperwork necessary.
- Ensure that that there is sufficient inventory to meet the Lab's needs by ordering products and managing out-of-stock over-stocked products.
- Enter data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records, retrieve stored information, place orders, or respond to inquiries (for example on inventory levels).
- Monitor Lab activities to ensure that goods are stored correctly and safely, and Lab and cage space is used efficiently.
- Monitor the effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization, and protection of equipment and make recommendations for improvements.
- Prioritize and assign tasks to ensure that the team's resources are used effectively and that work schedules and targets are met.
- Ensure that all lab activities, and all machines and equipment are operated safely.
- Ensure that the is sufficient inventory to meet the Labs needs by ordering products and managing out of stock over stocked products
- Assists team members in picking, staging, loading, unloading, storage of product.
- Maintains cleanliness of the lab by sweeping floor, wiping up spills, and keeping product organized.
- Follows and abides by all company safety rules
- Conducts daily housekeeping assignments as directed by PQE management staff.
- Seeks out inefficiencies in PQE Lab operations and make recommendations
- Assure all documentation is accurate, address people in a professional manner.
