Founded in 1984 as American Academy of Gymnastics, American Kids Sports Center (AKSC) has grown into one of California's most unique and successful kids sports center. Under the direction of owners Mike & Sheri Williams, AKSC has established an organization that sees its purpose as helping children to learn strong VALUES with which they will set worthy GOALS and for which we must train them in the SKILLS needed to achieve those goals. Sport training is the tool we use to achieve that purpose.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Tumbling and Trampoline Competitive Team & Recreational Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Tumbling, Trampoline, Gymnastics, have exceptional coaching skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate athletes to reach their full potential. As a Tumbling and Trampoline Coach, you will play a crucial role in the development of our athletes, fostering a positive and supportive training environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct training sessions for tumbling and trampoline athletes ranging from beginning recreational levels up to Elite competitive Tumblers & Trampolinist..
2. Develop and implement age-appropriate and skill-level-specific training programs.
3. Provide constructive feedback and guidance to athletes to enhance their skills and performance.
4. Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork.
5. Collaborate with other coaches to coordinate practice schedules and competition plans.
6. Stay current with industry trends, coaching techniques, and safety standards.
7. Ensure the safety and well-being of athletes during training sessions.
8. Ability to train new coaches in Tumbling & Trampoline.
Qualifications:
1. Previous coaching experience in power tumbling, trampoline and gymnastics.
2. In good standing with USAG & Safe Sport.
3. Knowledge of skill progressions and training techniques ranging from beginning recreational levels up to Elite competitive Tumblers & Trampolinist.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to create a positive and motivating training environment.
6. CPR, Concussion and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
