Department IND INST ON DISABILITY/COMMNTY (BL-IIDC-IUBLA) Department Information The Indiana Institute on Disability and Community (IIDC) is 1 of only 67 University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities. The Institute conducts research and training through 7 Centers: Early Childhood Center, Center on Education and Lifelong Learning, Center on Community Living and Careers, Center for Health Equity, Indiana Resource Center for Autism, Center for Collaborative Systems Change, and the Eppley Institute on Parks and Public Lands. The mission of the Center on Community Living and Careers (CCLC) is to promote partnerships between schools and community organizations to bring about positive changes in the lives of individuals and families as they live, work, and participate in their communities.

CCLC conducts research, training, technical assistance, and evaluation related to secondary special education transition services, postsecondary education, customized and supported employment services, post-school outcomes, benefits counseling, community participation, and more for individuals with disabilities. Job Summary Reviews and evaluates benefits information network strategic plans developed by certified liaisons for those with disabilities. Provides technical assistance to liaisons in writing effective plans.

Develops accessible knowledge translation products for key stakeholders in community (i.e., people with disabilities, families, educators, service providers, state department partners, and key agencies). Supports stakeholders' understanding of available local, state, and federal resources and best practices in supporting integrated competitive employment and community participation by creating content, editing, formatting, and proofing. Develops and delivers accessible content for online modules, face-to-face, and hybrid trainings, and technical assistance for community rehabilitation providers and vocational rehabilitation counselors to fulfill grant and state vocational rehabilitation contract work.

Manages fee-for-service, subcontract, and consultant agreements related to state vocational rehabilitation contracts. Maintains broad content knowledge of evidence-based practices and state and federal programs related to the research, training, and technical assistance projects. Qualifications Combinations of related education and experience may be considered.

EDUCATION Required Bachelor's degree in human services, special education, rehabilitation, psychology, or related field WORK EXPERIENCE Required Some related experience LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES Required Community Work Incentives Coordinators (CWIC) within 2 years from date of hire SKILLS Required Proficient communication skills Maintains a high degree of professionalism Demonstrates time management and priority setting skills Demonstrates a high commitment to quality Possesses flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty Working Conditions / Demands This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment.
