Adapt of Illinois, a progressive social services agency, seeks motivated Community Support Workers for a psychiatric rehabilitation program in Belleville, IL. As a member of a treatment team, you will be responsible for providing quality recovery-based and case management services to adults with severe mental illness living independently in the community. In this challenging and rewarding role you will:
- advocate for the needs of an underserved population
- conduct individual services to assist consumers in achieving recovery goals
- facilitate community placement and fulfill other case management duties
- document all clinical services provided
To qualify for this position, you must possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in a human services-related field (2 years’ supervised experience in mental health setting required with non-related Bachelor’s degree)
- strong computer, writing, and time management skills
- ability to work five 8-hour days including rotating on-call
- an interest in working in a team environment where clinical skill development is valued
- a strong desire to help individuals with mental illness recover lost skills and reduce stigma
