Agency Description

Town Watch Integrated Services is a holistic approach to promoting neighborhood safety through crime prevention, intervention, capacity building, enhanced service delivery and referral.  This is accomplished by developing town watch groups, providing neighborhood and school intervention services, developing viable community partnerships, working with partners to improve public service delivery, and make referrals to resources in the communities where we live.

Job Description

The Community Support Specialist will be required to conduct Town Watch and safe corridor trainings. Maintain contact with Town watch groups. Work in collaboration with community organizations and members of the CJPS cluster to address the violence in the city.

Essential Functions

Training, community organizing, Collaboration , weekly reports both narrative and data. The ability to use a computer, and to be able to work independently

Work-Life

Our working hours are, 37.5 hours. We work in person in the community and virtual. Two days a week are require in the office and we attend and conduct events on the weekend.

Qualifications
  • Minimum high school diploma some college
  • Experience working with people.
  • Knowledgeable of computer programs and the ability to work with Micro soft office
  • A commitment to the residents of Philadelphia
  • To be able to follow instructions
