Monarch NC, a provider of high-quality and trauma-informed care for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness and substance use disorders, is seeking a dedicated Community Specialist to join our team in Robbins, NC.
Immediate opening -- start working as early as April 8th with a completed background check!
As the Community Specialist, you will develop a positive relationship with the individuals receiving services and their family in a work, home, school, or community setting while assisting them in achieving their personal dreams and goals as designated in the individual goal plans, as well as providing periodic relief to their caregiver. The work site is listed as our Pittsboro location, however, most of your work time will be spent with these individuals out in the community. These individuals like to engage in community activities and volunteer work. They are active and look for new things to add to their daily schedule. You will also be working with these individuals and helping them build their independent living skills in the home. Personal transportation will be used to take the individuals out into the community.
Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 4 PM - 7 PM, and Saturday, 10 AM - 4 PM
To qualify, candidates must have the following:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least 1 year of experience working with people with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, mental health issues or substance abuse issues.
- A valid Driver's License and insurance is also required.
