Hartford Healthcare is opening a brand-new Community Pharmacy in 2024!
This will be located within Backus Hospital, the Backus Outpatient Pharmacy offers the feel of a high service Community Pharmacy while being able to fill discharge prescriptions for patients returning home. In addition to our community and discharge prescriptions, our pharmacy will also have a program to fill and deliver medications to a patient’s bedside before they get discharged.
The Pharmacy Manager provides supervisory oversight to pharmacy staff. Oversees the day-to-day management of pharmacy operational and regulatory processes, including functions related to: medication order review, medication storage and preparation, drug distribution, and provision of drug information.

Qualifications
Education:
· Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) from a US Accredited College of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy with minimum of three or more years of experience
Experience:
· Three or more years of experience
· Preferred: Five or more years of experience as well as prior supervisory/leadership experience.
License and Certification:
· Licensed a registered Pharmacist in Connecticut or eligible to receive licensure within 45 days.
