Description:
Community Outreach Coordinator serves as the liaison between the non-profit and the community, its stakeholders, and partners. The Community Outreach Coordinator is responsible for enhancing community relationships, improving customer services/programs, and promoting a positive public image of the program(s) and maintain all Community Outreach activities . The person will represent the organization and work with the management team to develop and implement initiatives that increase company visibility within the surrounding community. The person must be self-motivated, flexible, enthusiastic, and community-driven to take on this exciting role. This position requires a positive and team player attitude. This position is responsible for raising awareness of the program(s), coordinating, and executing all program-specific outreach plans, maximizing partnership collaborations, and for managing the pipeline of referrals. This position will require flexibility and travel to various outreach locations within Prince George’s County and Baltimore, Maryland.
Key Responsibilities includes but not limited to:
- Collaborate with Program Manager and Program Coordinator
- Create an annual outreach plan
- Develop weekly/monthly outreach plans whereas the result is to engage with decision makers and referral generators
- Develop a plan to recruit, train, and utilize volunteers
- Maintain a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, appearances, and other communication opportunities to support growth
- Schedule outreach presentations in the community and communicates with volunteers regarding coverage and responsibilities.
- Develop outreach materials and packets
- Accurately track and enter data collected during outreach efforts • Nurture new and old relationships with collaborative partners
- Schedule regular outreach exhibitions in the community and educate employees on community responsibility.
- Lead the organization’s special events, including donor/volunteer appreciation events and other fundraising initiatives.
- Serve as a point of contact between the organization and the community for outreach activities.
- Identify, develop, and foster relationships with the community, referral sources, and other groups.
- Participates in business development and strategy planning sessions
- Assists in maintaining company branding/image standards
- Attend various networking events and participate in professional networking groups, etc. as requested/needed.
Requirements
•Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience; Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Previous Outreach experience preferred
Demonstrates an understanding of the interrelationships, roles, and responsibilities of the project issues need to be escalated to higher authorities and effectively alerts appropriate officials
- Demonstrates leadership and problem-solving skills independently while understanding when
- Working knowledge of all systems and databases essential to the project deliverables
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
