About RiskStream Collaborative

The Institutes' RiskStream Collaborative is a large consortium operating in the P&C and L&A insurance industry, with some of the largest carriers, brokers and reinsurers as members. RiskStream works with member companies, and associate member companies (i.e. industry non-profits, civics, solution providers and collaborating entities), to develop solutions for multiparty business process challenges in the insurance industry. As an industry led non-profit, RiskStream seeks to bring the industry together, to design, build, adopt new multiparty solutions or spotlight existing solutions that could be beneficial to specific insurance sectors. Leveraging various technologies, like blockchain, confidential computing and AI, RiskStream has made significant progress in creating solutions for multiparty business problems in auto insurance, surety bonds, commercial property, life & annuities and reinsurance.

Community Operations Manager

The Community Operations position is cross-functional position that will work closely with the Director of Sales, the Technical Operations stakeholders, the Products team, and RiskStream Leadership to form a general strategy for community engagement and customer-facing operations. While the technical operations team focuses in on operational elements related to technology itself, Community Operations focuses on member company engagement, which could include state of the community sessions, educational series, solution spotlight series and other operational elements that are more customer-facing, such as member contracts and member-related finances. The role will involve program and project management across areas of business development, member-led governance, finance and budgets, contracts and events. The role will include working as a liaison between business units to align on community engagement initiatives.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop holistic engagement strategy and support Director of Sales, Leadership and Products staff in engaging with member companies and associate member companies.
  • Support RiskStream leadership and The Institutes Legal Counsel in assessing and managing the department's member-facing legal contracts and documentation.
  • Work with Technical Operations Analyst and RiskStream leadership to monitor budget and participate in financial forecasting with other parties. Assist in monitoring membership collections.
  • Assist Director of Sales, Leadership and Products in retaining consortium membership.
  • Work with Leadership and Technical Operations, as well as RiskStream Explores member-led governance arms, to create holistic strategy for RiskStream Explores, which includes educational series on emerging technology, spotlighting of insurtech or insurance-oriented solution providers and emerging technology exploratory initiatives. Create framework with various departments on how to optimally implement developed strategy and processes.
  • Assist with administrative support related to RiskStream governance.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills required. Ability to interact with all levels within the organization and work in a fast-paced environment with many initiatives.
  • Several years of experience in a business operational or project management role
  • Experience with insurance companies or insurance solution providers
  • Experience with IT-related or security-related projects in a fast-paced environment preferred.
  • Experience managing a variety of business, IT, and vendor resources required.
  • General understanding of Blockchain technology preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills to resolve issues and determine effective business solutions desired.
  • Strong leadership potential with the ability to think strategically, create partnerships with service providers and other insurance organizations, lead diverse teams, and drive results
