Iron Recovery and Wellness—Community Liaison

Part Time

$500 sign on bonus

Iron Recovery and Wellness Center has been providing valuable Substance Use Disorder and Behavioral Health treatment services since 1987. Our Mission: To save lives from the devastation of addiction. IRWC offers various pathways to recovery from substance use disorder and Behavioral Health utilizing three distinct programs. Opioid Treatment Program provides medication assisted treatment with methadone being the most utilized mediation followed by buprenorphine (Suboxone). Utilization of medication is adjunct to psychotherapy provided to our clients by our clinical staff at various levels of care e.g. Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and General Outpatient (GOP). We are also licensed for Behavioral Health outpatient. All of our clients have access to psychiatric and medical services/consultation along with appropriate medication management.

Main duties of the job:

  • Collaborate closely with hospital discharge planners, social workers, case managers, physicians, and management, as well as provide education staff to generate referral sources
  • Develop strong relationships with key referral sources
  • Identify opportunities for partnering and growth
  • Manage leads from referral sources and ensure efficient admissions process for clients
  • Coordinate with clinical assessment team on referrals for admission based on the services provided by the facility
  • Educate patients, families, community and other referral sources on programs, services and amenities provided within facility
  • Develop events and educational forums that demonstrate programs and provide an opportunity to identify potential referral sources
  • Maintain existing referral relationships
  • Utilize analytic tools, such as Salesforce, to effectively plan and evaluate activity to optimize results
  • Create outreach initiatives that will regularly communicate facility mission with referral sources through phone, email, e-blast, written notes, events, networking and other professional activities
  • Provide the facility or receiving team with appropriate information to facilitate admission when necessary
  • Performs other duties as requested or assigned, verbally or in writing
  • Assist in the development of data collection and analysis of the quality improvement projects.
  • Ensure client’s file documentation and other reports are up to date.
  • Completes annual educational program as required.
  • Participates in the development of quality improvement activities designed to enhance agency and program services
  • Engages in professional development. Responsible for keeping current in the field by attending formal and agency trainings.

Required Education and Qualifications:

  • Preferred Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling or nursing from an accredited college or university.
  • High School Diploma or GED, while actively enrolled in higher level of education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or related Health or Social Services Field
  • Two or more years’ experience in sales/marketing required
  • Two years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Peer Specialist Certification preferred
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing with at least 3 years minimum continuous driving experience with no serious traffic infractions.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Computer knowledge of MS Office, and other HR applications is a plus, not required.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be proactive, organized, and possess great follow-up skills.
  • Must have the skill/ability to collaborate, partner with, and provide exceptional customer support to a variety of affiliate partners within the organization.
