Position Purpose and Objectives
Under occasional supervision and under the leadership of the Community Engagement Support Manager of Community Engagement, this position is responsible to market, plan, organize and facilitate chamber, school, employer, and community events with our strategic partners to grow CUTX through innovative ways in new markets. This position will support our Community Grill food truck with all cooking, food preparation, menu creation, and all regular upkeep and maintenance to ensure success in all facets of the department and in line with the mission and vision of the company.
Major Duties and Essential Functions
  1. Assist and coordinates with Community Engagement Officer (CEO) to prepare for presentations, meetings, or events.
  2. Responsible for assessing the efficient use of our assets by evaluating pre and post event the potential and actual return realized by CUTX incurring expenses related to supplies, food, drinks, preventative maintenance, current fuel cost, etc.
  3. Responsible for adhering to brand standards and educating the event organizers about our brand standards to ensure the appropriate CUTX branding is conveyed.
  4. Helps influence CUTX voice, brand and positioning to maximize our brand awareness and reach by attending event planning meetings, particularly for larger events where we are Title Sponsors and key stakeholders.
  5. Works closely with CEO's and Community Engagement Manager (CEM) to develop and maximize a successful marketing and social media campaign to ensure our efforts are acknowledged and known among our members and employees.
  6. Works closely with CEO's & CEM to coordinate staff support to work events as needed.
  7. Serves as a backup to work community engagement events as needed, which includes but is not limited to, grand openings, meetings, corporate events, chamber, partner presentations, festivals, school events, community events and employee events in CUTX's field of membership.
  8. Creates, processes and tracks invoices submitted to Accounting to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  9. Maintains reports to track and evaluate metrics of their achieved results and success of activation efforts.
  10. Serves as an ambassador of CUTX in the community. As such, must maintain a polished, professional, well-kept appearance at all times when representing CUTX.
  11. Adheres to corporate code of conduct and corporate vehicle, mileage and expense reimbursement policies and training requirements.
  12. Order all food, supplies, and other related items needed for the food truck.
  13. Adheres to all food handler requirements to ensure minimum standards are being met.
  14. Will ensure that Food Handler Certification remains up to date.
  15. Other job duties as assigned.

Specific knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position:
MUST have excellent communication, presentation and writing skills.
MUST have a current and valid driver's license with a clean driving required as this position will be required to use and operate corporate vehicles for transportation between events.
MUST be reliable, dependable, and flexible to work evening, weekend, or holiday hours as required by the role.
Experience planning community events and/or sports marketing is a plus.
A strong entrepreneurial attitude and skills set is needed to enthusiastically offer solutions and innovative ways to increase efficiencies to help grow our market share.
Personality is extremely important in this position. To fit in with the team, it's important to have a positive attitude, not afraid to try new things and ready to own all things pertaining to community and brand development.
An ability to work individually on a project or in a team environment.
Good judgment and discretion when dealing with sensitive topics.
Able to interact with many people and multiple interruptions while staying on task.
Strong computer and organization skills.
Education: Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience and certifications.
Language: English. Bi-Lingual Spanish preferred.
Experience: Minimum 1-2 years or more of similar or related experience.
