Job description

PART TIME Community Concierge needed . This position is Saturday and Sunday 8:30am to 5pm.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

1. ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS

  • Greeting all visitors.
  • Tracking all visitors.
  • Scheduling transports and residents physician’s appointments.
  • Communicating with residents, families, visitors and staff members in a professional manner.
  • Sorting and distributing both facilities and residential mail.
  • Answering multiline phone lines and transferring phone calls.
  • Keeping and balancing residents’ trust fund accounts.
  • Maintaining and selling Saint Simeon’s appeal shop.
  • Assisting Life Enrichment staff when needed.
  • Completing reports for the CEO and President.
  • Completing shift end temperature checks during COVID-19 pandemic.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Works in office area(s) as well as throughout the facilities.

Sits, stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during working hours.

Is subject to frequent interruptions.

Is involved with residents, personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc., under all conditions and circumstances.

Is subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, personnel, and visitors.

Communicates with nursing personnel and other department personnel.

Works beyond normal working hours, on weekends and holidays, and in other positions temporarily, when necessary.

Attends and participates in continuing education programs.

Must be able to work the hours required of the position.

Must be able to adhere to all policies of St. Simeon's including absenteeism or tardiness as well as all approved policies.

EDUCATION

Must possess, as a minimum, an High School graduate.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.

Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.

Must possess the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.

Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.

Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices.

Must be able to relate information concerning a resident's condition.

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS

(With or Without the Aid of Mechanical Devices)

Must be able to move intermittently throughout the work day.

Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.

Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.

Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.

Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies.

Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability.

Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and, at times, hostile people within the facility.

Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 50 pounds.

Must be able to bend, walk, stand, lift, carry, push and handle equipment, supplies or patients exceeding 50 pounds.

Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
