This can be temp to hire. The Mobile Therapist will provide weekly individual therapy to clients diagnosed with Moderate to Severe Mental Health Diagnosis’s, while collaborating ongoing with both internal and external treatment team members that involve Program Managers, Residential Counselors, and behavioral health county case managers and clinicians. This position will offer clinical individual/group supervision as needed for non-licensed applicants, as part of full-time employment with the agency to allow enhancement and growth within your professional career for further opportunities and advancement within the company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

o Manage caseload of at least 12-25 clients providing weekly individual therapy services to adults and seniors who are conserved and diagnosed with a moderate to severe mental illness.

o Travel to assigned clients place of residence (board n care, independent living, and/or Adult mental health locked/unlocked facility.

o Meet with all clients on caseload at least once per week and additional sessions as needed based on clinical assessment of clients need.

o Develop and implement treatment plans based on Cal -Aim and Department of Health Care standards, and based on clinical experience, and knowledge.

o Facilitate weekly Group Therapy sessions with assigned clients in the facility.

o Complete progress notes for all assigned clients based on individual sessions, group sessions, crisis intervention, as well as any interaction warranting clinical intervention.

o Complete Comprehensive Initial Assessments, Diagnosis and Treatment Plans for all newly assigned clients.

o Maintains appropriate professional boundaries.

o Participates in internal and external organization meetings and trainings as directed by the Clinical Director and/or CEO.

o Maintains an awareness of applicable laws, regulations, and licensing requirements as they relate to client documentation; Mandate reporting when applicable to APS/PD

o Assumes accountability for providing appropriate documentation of all therapy/counseling sessions, significant incident occurrences, phone conversations, etc. consistent with applicable regulatory requirements.

o Responsible for the maintenance of client files with assurance that all needed releases of information and other paperwork are present in the file and up to date. Promptly requests new or additional information and paperwork.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • AMFT, ACSW, APCC and/or LMFT, LCSW, LPCC
  • Student intern in an approved program working towards gaining clinical hours working towards registry with BBS (Board of Behavioral Health and Sciences).

o Medi-Cal Billing experience preferred but not required

o Must be registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as an AMFT and/or ACSW.

  • Preferred Minimum one year of experience providing diagnostic assessment and therapy services to a full range of individuals from youth through adulthood.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • PPD test for tuberculosis and satisfactory results.
  • CCL approved FBI and DOJ criminal background clearances.
  • Free form state sanctions.

o Valid driver license.

  • DMV printout, valid.

o CPR/First Aid/BLS certification.

o Authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Maintain professional licensure and/or certification throughout employment.

o Understanding of psychiatric illness and its treatment.

o Function as a team member providing input and reporting observations and concerns regarding client care.

o Demonstrate the ability to function as part of a team in an appropriate manner in a crisis.

o Ability to work independently and be self-motivated, in an often-ambiguous environment.

o Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work with individuals and groups.

o MS Office Suite proficiency: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

o Highly organized and detail oriented, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

o Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment.

o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

o Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
