The insurance communications role will be an integral part of a growing Brookfield Insurance Solutions team and a driver of the business’ expanded internal and external communications efforts. The successful Communications Vice President will have previous experience in the insurance space, have a strong executive presence and good relationships with and understanding of the insurance trade media.
Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic advisor to Brookfield’s insurance leadership team on all communications matters
- Develop and execute high-impact communication strategies a across a broad range of external stakeholders to build awareness and understanding of Brookfield’s insurance business, products and thought leadership
- Establish, develop and maintain relationships with global and national media outlets as well as insurance trade press (print, TV, and digital)
- Manage issues and crises as they arise
- Help develop and actively manage messaging around Brookfield’s insurance business for senior leadership’s use with all stakeholders
- Build relationships with Insurance Solutions leadership as well as communications, investor relations and marketing personnel and act as liaison between Insurance business and the broader Brookfield Asset Management organization.
- Coordinate communications activities across Insurance Solutions portfolio companies to ensure alignment of messaging and sharing of information and priorities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelors’ degree required
- 10-15 years’ experience with business communications, operations and/or marketing required
- Collaborate extensively with colleagues in all levels and locations of the business to deliver effective end product
- Excellent interpersonal and superior oral/written communication skills
- Strategic, forward thinker who can bring new ideas and anticipate requests. Takes initiative beyond the established scope of responsibilities
- Has experience managing reputational risk and advising on strategy.
- Exhibit flexibility to adapt work and priorities to changing scenarios
- Proven aptitude to prioritize and maintain high quality of work and detail to meet tight deadlines. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

Salary Range: $200k - $240K
Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education and designations
