The Building Construction Products (BCP) Division team is comprised of more than 7,000 employees—from assemblers and accountants to marketing professionals and engineers—we work in factories, warehouses, and offices all over the world.

We are responsible for the design, manufacturing, marketing, and support of Caterpillar’s line of small, versatile construction machines and attachments for the commercial construction, residential construction, specialty trades, landscaping, and agriculture industries. Products include small wheel loaders, compact wheel loaders, backhoe loaders, compact track loaders, mini hydraulic excavators, skid steers loaders, telehandlers, and small track-type tractors.

BCP is hiring for a Communications Representative to create employee communications content and participate in the execution of employee communications programs within the organization.

What you will do:

• Collaborating with internal stakeholders and advising on the suitability of approaches for communication efforts.
• Tracking and analyzing metrics to measure the effectiveness of internal communications.
• Assisting in the planning and creation of content for employee communication channels; ensuring that messaging and branding are consistent across all channels.
• Developing and distributing communications materials, such as written communications, presentation materials, etc. to deliver key messages.

What you will have:

Communicating for Impact and Interpersonal Relationships: Knowledge of the concepts, tools and techniques for effective listening and communicating; ability to apply these theories to receive, transmit and accurately interpret information and ideas to influence others in various situations. Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.

Internal Communications: Knowledge of techniques and media for internal communications; ability to produce and distribute news, newsletters and other communications materials targeted at the employees.

Multimedia Technologies and Copywriting and Editing:  Knowledge of multimedia publishing technologies and procedures; ability to use installed audio, visual and animation software tools to produce multimedia publications. Knowledge of copywriting and editing; ability to write, review and edit texts and documents to promote marketing.

Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
