Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Manages and oversees all aspects of the Department of Juvenile Justice to include Program Operations,Support Services, Community and Mental Health Service, Detention and Compliance.
Responsible for day-to-day operations of the department.
Directs and oversees all department activities and personnel.
Represents the department at legislative hearings, on specialized task forces, in meetings with otherstate and federal agencies, congressional representatives, local officials and the general public.
Ensuring compliance with agency policies, federal and state laws and regulations.
Ensures efficient and effective use of state and federal funds.
