Job Description:
Angeline is seeking a motivated and passionate Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. As a Commis Chef, you will play a crucial role in assisting our culinary experts in preparing and presenting high-quality Italian dishes that delight our guests. This is an entry-level position that offers a great opportunity to learn and grow in a fine dining environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, mise en place, and cooking techniques under the guidance of senior chefs.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
Execute cooking tasks efficiently and with precision to contribute to a smooth kitchen operation.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure that dishes are prepared and presented consistently to meet our high-quality standards.
Assist in plating dishes with creativity and attention to detail.
Learn and adhere to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines.
Continuously develop culinary skills and knowledge through training and mentorship.
Support in inventory management and stock rotation.
Perform other kitchen-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Enthusiasm for food and a desire to pursue a career in culinary arts.
Basic culinary knowledge or relevant culinary education is a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to food safety and hygiene.
Team player with good communication skills.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings & weekends.
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy kitchen equipment when needed.
