SalaryChicago Title is seeking to hire a commercial real estate professional to perform closings for local and national business. The Escrow Officer leads the closing process for commercial real estate transactions.
Primary responsibilities:
- Review purchase contract, title commitment, and Escrow instructions from attorneys and lenders in order to prepare settlement statements and the necessary real estate documents for closing.
- Conduct basic math calculations to verify closing figures, prorations and payoffs.
-Compile documents necessary to complete the transaction.
- Collaborate with title officers, underwriters, and other team members to gather necessary information for closing
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and post updates in the system.
- Communicate with buyers/borrowers, sellers, attorneys, and brokers to provide updates on the status of their closing
-Address any post-closing matters.
- Follow established procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the banking, title, financial or legal industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of commercial documents is a plus
- Proficient in using computer systems and software for data entry and record-keeping
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
