The ideal Roof Inspection Consultant will have had an established previous career in the Commercial Roofing industry and be available to perform two to three roof inspections per week. Times and locations will be determined and scheduled by the project manager based on the availability of the inspector and weather conditions. A schematic roof plan will be provided, and the inspector will take photographs of roof repair issues. The location and a brief description of the condition are noted on the roof plan, along with an assessment of the priority of repair and an outline of the repair recommendation.
The inspectors' photos and plans are saved to a file server and rewritten by the project manager into a final report, including a roof plan, condition assessment, repair recommendations, and cost estimates.
Requirements:
Extensive Commercial Roofing experience.
Ability to climb ladders, interior or exterior to access roofs.
Transportation to various locations within 90 miles of Boston.
Interpersonal client relations and ability to interview facility staff regarding roof performance.
Basic use of smartphone, email, and uploading photos.
Ability to hand mark up a roof plan.
An understanding, based on actual roofing experience, of Commercial Roofing.
Team attitude and willingness to collaborate on the content of the final report.
A commitment to quality, integrity, and dependability.
Computer and printer.
Excellent verbal skills (English).
Basic writing skills. (English)
