Summary
A Field Service Technician is a member of the Technical Service Team and is responsible for performing maintenance agreements and repair calls, including chemical water balancing, pump room equipment service and repair with a high-level of competence, customer service and communication and in-house pool vacuum and other small equipment repairs. Position requires overnight travel to out-of-area customers and some overtime.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide service and customer support during field visits and dispatches
- Install and commission equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment errors and/or technical problems and determine proper solutions
- Provide timely, accurate and detailed service report documentation
- Document processes
- The prompt, accurate and complete processing of field documentation is a top priority to provide the level of customer service KSI is known for, i.e. daily Field Service reports,
- Build and maintain healthy relationships with customers, subcontractors, KSI’s fellow technicians and sales team members
- Keep company vehicle stocked and clean
- Have fiscal responsibility for: equipment assigned (vehicle, tools, computer, phone, etc.,) and truck inventory
- Operate vehicle in a safe manner
- Assist and support other technicians with repairs, maintenance and installations when and where needed, including travel to other field locations in emergency situations

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Field service and repair experience
- Experience with basic hand and power tools
- Plumbing and/or HVAC experience a plus
- Experience in the Aquatics industry a plus
