III. POSITION SUMMARY

The primary responstibilies for the Loan Specialist postion includes loan due diligence for loan origination, loan documentation preparation, post-closing, and post-closing document review. Be proficient in Meridian Link, loan boarding, loan compliance, appraisal management, insurance and HMDA determination. Handle the origination, closing and post-closing process to ensure accurate and complete files for HELOC's, consumer loans and small business loans. Work with the sales team and manage the closing calendar to ensure timely deliverly of loan documentation. Fund, post-closing quality review, and perform DOT filings. Develop efficient processing procedures for all aspects loan origination.

IV. PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

High Essential

Provide exceptional client service both internally and externally.

Monitor pipeline of loans to ensure timely and accurate turnaround to sales team and provide WOW client service.

Review Loan Applications for accuracy and send out early disclosures as needed.

Review Loan Applications for accuracy and compile all needed loan due diligence documenation for each small business package.

Order Appraisals, Credit Reports, and ensure all documentation is within policy and all forms are in the loan package.

Produce loan documentation using the MeridianLink System and ensure accuracy before origination.

Manage closing process including interacting with branch managers and processing wires and internal tickets

Review loan documenation for accuracy including internally prepared loan documenation.

Accurately onboard loans to core system and review data input.

Review loan files for completeness and follow-up on any missing/needed items in a timely manner.

Regularly attend work at the Bank's place of business during regular business hours.

Low Essential

Review files for accuracy and stay up to date with latest compliance changes

V. EDUCATION

High School Degree Required

Associates of Bachelor's Degree Preferred

VI. RELATED EXPERIENCE

At least 2 years processing consumer loans including previous MeridianLink experience.

VII. QUALIFICATIONS : GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Must have a high level of knowledge of the following subjects; might be regarded as an authority in the area by peers:

Documentation requirements for loan origination

Producing closing documents using the MeridianLink System

Onboarding loans to the CORE system

Must be able to train, coach, and answer questions from those at lower mastery levels around:

Appraisal management

Closing Process Management including all required external documents needed

Must be able to identify issues with application of the following subjects, develop solutions, and implement improvements:

Onboarding of new products

Ability to help manage the full loan process with correct titling and storage of underwriting documents.

Must be able to apply the following principles and processes to day-to-day functions:

Time Management

Multi-Tasking

Must be aware of the following general principles and operations; not expected to fully function in the area:

General overall knowledge of the Bank's accounting principles and software

General business banking underwriting knowledge

XI. WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This job is conducted in an office work environment,and is generally sedentary but may require walking at times. Most of this position's duties require use of a computer. Some travel via car or air, and evening/weekend work may be required. Some travel and evening/weekend work may be required. Incumbent must meet the following physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation:
a. Use hands to manipulate, handle, feel, and control items or equipment;
b. Walk, bend, kneel, and reach;
c. Lift up to 25 pounds, using all safety precautions;
