SalarySunflower Bank, N.A. is looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the full-time position of CommercialLoan Booking & Servicing Specialist in Plano, TX! The Commercial Loan Booking & Servicing Specialist position is responsible for the funding, booking, and servicing of new/renewed/modified commercial, business and/or consumer loans with varying levels of complexity in a high-volume environment.
- Interpret loan documents with varying levels of complexity properly and ensure accurate data input on the loan accounting system on new, renewed, and modified loans to include proper coding, structure, rate structure, billing schedules and funds disbursement and in accordance with the loan approval and documentation.
- Ensure high levels of data integrity and compliance.
- Work with internal partners to ensure a smooth and timely closing of customer loans.
- Review loan coding to ensure the codes properly reflect the loan information and are consistent.
- Review system exception reports as assigned and perform required maintenance to resolve exception(s)
- Monitor Loan Servicing email inbox for servicing requests and respond appropriately, including analyzing that all changes are accurate, logical and within the employee’s authority.
- Perform account maintenance ensuring all transactions are in balance and provide backup support for entries and requests to archive system.
- Research and resolve loan payment and other loan account issues accurately and timely.
- Input index rate changes in appropriate systems.
- Process payments, advances, and wire transfers.
- Disburse loan proceeds ensuring funds are sent as requested and appropriate entries are made.
- Complete tasks within the established Service Levels.
- Maintain personal performance within or exceeding established measures.
- Build and maintain working relationships with peers, co-workers, and other bank employees, developing trust and mutual respect.
Education/Experience Preferred:
- Minimum of 7 years of banking experience, with 5 years in a commercial lending or loan operations environment
- Personal knowledge and understanding of standard system generated and/or attorney prepared loan documents
- Ability to translate loan document information to system functionality for booking loans to the loan accounting application
- Prior experience in booking and servicing both consumer and Commercial Loans, including SBA loans
- Detail oriented with a natural sense of urgency to ensure work is processed accurately and timely
- Capable of interpreting and following procedures as documented
- Knowledge of loan coding requirements and ramifications of incorrect coding on financial and/or regulatory reporting
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance items for both consumer and Commercial Loans
- Ability to independently prioritize work to ensure customer satisfaction and meet deadlines
- Previous experience with the use of system exception reports to identify loan level issues for resolution
- Analytical skills to perform requested and/or needed research at a loan level, identify issue and propose solutions
- Developed communication skills, both oral and written, to properly communicate with co-workers and other bank team members
