Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works closely with Account Manager in the processing of client documents.
- Handles client telephone calls – process changes as requested or involves Account Manager as needed.
- Develops thorough understanding and working knowledge of the agency management system.
- Assists Account Manager with marketing and placement of accounts, and with preparation of proposals.
- Assists Account Manager in checking policies and offers suggestions or recommendations on coverage gaps.
- Performs problem solving with assistance of Account Manager.
- Maintains files in an orderly, up-to-date manner.
- Processes change requests for auto and types of ID cards on the same day as requested.
- Processes change confirmations on the same day as requested.
- Processes confirmed cancellations on the same day as requested.
- Seeks advice from Account Manager’s with any problem with their accounts.
- Assists or fills in for Account Manager as directed.
- Inputs late-payment notices, direct notice of cancellations, and payment-received notices into the agency automation system.
- Processes paperwork assigned by Account Manager on the same day as requested.
- Maintains working knowledge of all rating products and processes backup rating when needed.
- Performs additional assigned duties as necessary.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Possesses a supportive and responsive manner with internal and external customers.
- Has ability to perform multiple tasks in a complex working environment accurately and efficiently\
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel and MS Word.
- Natural attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
- Possesses High School diploma or equivalent.
- Has three years or more of insurance or business-related experience
- Property/casualty agent’s license to be obtained.
Physical Demands and Work Environment • Fast paced multi-tasking environment· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
