Commercial Lines Account Manager

Varney Agency is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager for our Morristown, NJ location.

• Required skills and Responsibilities include servicing large commercial accounts with complex coverage needs
• Knowledgeable regarding the NY/NJ Commercial Insurance market
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build long term relationships with clients, producers, underwriters and business partners
• High competency in the quoting process and placing new and renewal business
• Ability to prepare professional, detailed, accurate proposals
• Must be able to evaluate and understand each individual client’s risk, identify coverage gaps, and recommend appropriate solutions
• In depth technical knowledge of commercial insurance products and coverage, and ability to act as a technical resource for both client and Producer
• Ability to review contract specifications and identify coverage needed
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Mentorship of new sales and service team members
• Ability to travel to client locations within NY and NJ when needed
• Experience with Real Estate Development and/or Construction preferred
• In Office role – Morristown, NJ
• Salary range $90k to $140k based on experience
