Commercial Estimator

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for Commercial construction projects
• Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and materials required
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
• Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs to determine project expenses
• Identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings during the estimating process
• completing detailed estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work and soliciting pricing from qualified vendors and subcontractor
• Present estimates to management and clients, explaining the basis for the pricing
• Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing
• Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and provide cost control recommendations
• Conduct weekly meetings with the GM to go over RFPs, bids, and upcoming projects

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry
• In-depth knowledge of construction estimating principles and techniques
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Suite
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments and priorities in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines with efficiency and accuracy

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $63,010.11 - $75,883.14 per year

Expected hours: 25 per week

Compensation package:

• Commission pay

• 4 hour shift
