Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects from start to finish. This includes supervising personnel, ensuring quality control, managing budgets and schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, has excellent leadership and communication skills, and can pass a background check.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all construction activities on-site
- Manage and oversee subcontractors and vendors
- Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and building codes
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve any construction-related issues
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily reports, progress photos, and change orders
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on project status
- Implement and enforce safety protocols on the construction site
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role
- 10+ years of construction experience
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices
- Proficient in reading schematics, blueprints, and construction documents
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively supervise a team
- Ability to build positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
- Experience managing projects from pre-construction through completion
- Familiarity with contract management processes
