Responsibilities:
In this position you will be responsible for the investigation, evaluation and disposition of first and third party personal auto property damage claims. This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position, currently 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home.
Contact insureds, claimants, attorneys and other parties related to an auto accident.
- Proficient in communicating in a variety of ways, including text, email and letter.
- Investigate all assigned claims for coverage, liability and damages.
- Ensure timely disposition of all claims in accordance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Responsible for timely payment of auto repairs and resolution of total losses.
- Ensure adherence to a variety of commercial policies including related coverages and exclusions.
- Determine liability of parties involved in a loss, including application of comparative negligence.
- Effectively manage workload through claims management and imaging systems.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of Auto Claims handling experience, preferably Commercial Auto.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively via phone, text, email, and other written correspondence.
- Demonstrated level of competency in time management, priority setting, and customer focus.
- Experience using a claims management and imaging system
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate experience
