Job description

The Commercial and Private Banking Policy Manager position will be responsible for the management of processes and policies related to business deposit and Treasury Management products and services utilized by the Commercial and Private Banking (C/PB) teams, including process and policies for consumer accounts for individuals affiliated with C/PB-managed relationships.
This position will provide ongoing support to Commercial and Private Banking groups by fielding phone and email inquiries regarding Commercial and Private Banking policies and procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for general C/PB policy administration, including writing and modifying policies, conducting policy committee meetings, maintaining policies within PolicyTech and providing notification of new and modified policies to C/PB customer-facing employees.
The Manager will work with 1CB to ensure policies there align with MidFirst Bank policies, and will also work closely with the Personal Banking Policy team to ensure that business and Treasury Management product policies in those groups align with C/PB policies.
The Manager will work closely with Commercial Product Management when new or modified business banking products or services are being introduced to assist CPM and the business units with implementing new or modified products or services. This includes discussing processes with subject matter experts, reviewing industry standards, assisting with vendor documents, and documenting process flows; assist with risk assessment creations and work on the development of corresponding policies.
The successful candidate will provide input regarding changes to systems, software and equipment used by C/PB teams and serve as a tester for such changes prior to implementation. This position will work closely with various departments such as Legal, Compliance and Bank Operations to assist in supporting and analyzing risk related to services and products utilized by C/PB clients.
The Manager will proactively assist those C/PB teams with banking center transaction capabilities (e.g. teller transaction functions) in understanding policies and procedures in addition to supporting them with audit preparation. The position will act as a risk adviser and resource to C/PB management and staff and spot check C/PB processes to ensure policy compliance. The Manager will conduct loss research to evaluate loss allocation, when incurred, and suggest process improvements to mitigate future losses.
The position will identify processes that may be implemented or modified to improve customer service and customer experience. The Manager will also be actively involved in special projects including launching new products and evaluating system changes that impact business clients across all lines of business.
Requirements
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years' experience working in a banking environment or have a working knowledge of bank compliance and regulatory matters. Strong background and knowledge in banking operations is helpful. Knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook is also required to be successful in this role. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
This position can be filled in the Arizona, Colorado, or Oklahoma markets.
