Job Description
Perform welding activities or a combination of welding and finishing activities to complete the final fabrication and assembly of hollow metal frames. Use hand-welding equipment to weld or join metal components and grinding equipment to finish.

- Perform welding/fabricating activities efficiently and accurately.
- Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly to obtain required configurations or positions for welding.
- Using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, clamps, tape measures, and rulers. Cut/alter material components as needed.
- Prepare, set up, and operate necessary tools and equipment for welding jobs such as shielded metal arc, gas metal arc, or other welding equipment common to the trade.
- Perform finishing tasks such as grinding, painting, etc.
- Examine the finished product and compare it to order specifications.
- Assist in loading/unloading trucks and moving of material/product, which may require the use of a forklift.
- Maintain cleanliness of workspace and assist with general shop maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Candidates must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of welding experience
- Knowledge of welding machines and tools, including their uses, repair, and maintenance
- Application of basic math and geometry
- Ability to follow written, visual (drawings or images), and verbal instructions and work independently.
Experience with the following is a plus:
- Blueprint
- Forklift
- Mig
- Tig
- Welder
- Micrometer/Caliper
