Basic Qualifications
Requires a Bachelors or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent (4 years job-related experience). Requires an additional 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree with 6+ years of job-related experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is required at time of hire (we may be able to cosnider an active Secret if TS eligible). Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

We are seeking a Combat Systems Engineering Support Specialist to workout of our Groton CT office. The ideal candidate will work within the Test and Evaluation program. Test and Evaluation (T&E) of U.S. Navy submarines and weapon systems for Naval Undersea Warfare Center Newport RI, which includes test planning, execution and reporting for VIRGINIA Class submarines Developmental Test & Evaluation (DT&E) and Weapons System Accuracy Trials (WSAT).
Position responsibilities include:
  • Identifying system requirements for verification and validation
  • Defining and validating resources needed to test system requirements
  • Support test execution by confirming that required resources are scheduled and available.
  • Designing creative solutions and proposing alternative approaches when desired resources are not projected to be available.
  • Perform technical writing to include, test procedure, plans and reports.
  • Support various working groups and meetings.
  • Travel is required roughly 20% of the time.
Position Requirements:
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills as well as practical problem-solving and decision making-skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and be able to manage multiple projects and issues simultaneously.
  • Computer operation skills to support system operations and problem solving.
  • Physical requirements require the ability to climb vertical ladders, maneuver on and around Navy vessels, and the ability to lift 50 LBS.
  • In depth Operational and Technical knowledge of Combat System, SONAR and weapon employment.
  • Experienced in Tactical Control, Weapons Control Systems and Weapons Handling system maintenance procedures and safety requirements.
  • Strong technical writing proficiency.
  • Expertise in Systems Engineering, network/system management with demonstrable background in research support and in-depth, hands-on knowledge of COTS/GOTS network and systems management application
  • Subject matter expert (SME) in at least one discipline/field and working knowledge in multiple adjacent disciplines/fields

NOTE: This position is 100% onsite and located in Groton, Connecticut
Salary Note
This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
Combined Salary Range
USD $117,800.00 - USD $127,400.00 /Yr.
