Job Description:

Eastern Shore Community College is a member of the Virginia Community College System. The College serves the residents of Accomack County and Northampton County as a two-year institution of higher learning. Operating under policies established by the State Board for Community Colleges and the Eastern Shore Community College Board, the college is financed primarily with state funds, supplemented by contributions from the two counties and the Eastern Shore Community College Foundation.
The College Enrollment Navigator serves as a resource and guide to prospective students, applicants, and enrolled students. Through a variety of means (e.g. recruitment fairs and social media), the Navigator conducts initial outreach and inquiry response to a wide range of prospective students, such as pre-dual enrollment students and career switchers. The Navigator's duties will span the range from initial outreach, to career and educational guided pathways, to enrollment, to retention and completion. This is accomplished by outreach and recruitment, monitoring prospective student and applicant progress throughout the enrollment process, responding to all questions/inquiries, providing information about Eastern Shore Community College career and educational pathways and the enrollment process. The Navigator will enhance enrollment in academic and workforce programs by cultivating relationships with prospective students and decreasing the length of time spent from being interested in college to registering for college. The Navigator will assist those students who are ready to enroll with the goal of completing all aspects of the enrollment process, except financial aid, within 1-2 business days. The Navigator is not expected to be all-inclusive content matter expert; however, they will have expertise in connecting with experts to allow for seamless onboarding.
