PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The Collections Professional is responsible for a variety of tasks related to customer account management, payment negotiation and collection, as well as answering general inquiries about the customer’s account.
This position is Hybrid (minimum 2 days onsite) in Hampton, Virginia. Full work at home is not available for this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete initial trace work using online tools and account systems
- Verifying consumer information
- Professionally negotiating with consumers and exploring money sources to determine the best possible arrangement
- Maximize revenue and achieve set goals and objectives
- Ensure customer satisfaction and provide professional customer support
- Update customer files with appropriate information and ensure information being placed in customer files follow regulatory, client-specific, and corporate guidelines
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in a customer service role is required
- Previous experience in a call center environment is a strong asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
