Creating innovative solutions enables our partners to achieve outsized returns in structured assets. We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant based in our Irving, Texas location. This is a hybrid role.
Monitor and assist with curative functions in support of clearing title issues. Performs tasks that require knowledge/skill to identify curative issues in order to resolve in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for monitoring a title portfolio during the curative process through resolution
- Be proactive in curing title issues in a timely manner, up to and including making phone calls to third parties and researching online records to assist with the curative work
- Communicate accurately and in a professional manner with the client and internal/external parties
- Document and upload all communications/curative documents to case management system within the required timeframes as set out by the client and LOB
- Respond to emails, both internal and external, within 24-48 hours
- Train others, as needed, on duties involved with the title curative process
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed
Skills / Qualifications:
- A High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in Title curative
- Must be proficient in software tools including, but not limited to, Outlook and Excel
- Understand effects of various curative issues on title, such as vesting issues, legal description defects, lien position issues, etc.
- Ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to be flexible with internal and external changes
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
