Role and Responsibilities:
As a Supervising Psychiatrist, you will work remotely and provide critical oversight for our team of nurse practitioners. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with nurse practitioners to review and assess client cases for insurance coverage.
- Providing guidance and expertise on clinical documentation and insurance authorization processes.
- Ensuring treatment plans align with medical necessity and insurance requirements.
- Offering clinical insights to support nurse practitioners in delivering effective and evidence-based care.
- Participating in regular case discussions and team meetings to ensure comprehensive care coordination.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Psychiatry.
- Valid medical license to practice Psychiatry in your jurisdiction.
- Substantial experience in psychiatric practice, including knowledge of insurance authorization processes.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to guide and collaborate effectively in a remote setting.
- A commitment to promoting quality care and advocating for insurance coverage.
