The Electro-Mechanical Assembler mainly performs mechanical assembly and sub-assemblies of high-power AC and DC Coils for use in electrodynamic shaker systems, including electrical inspection and testing of the finished products and may do equipment maintenance and general technical support.
Essential Functions

- Assembles machinery and sub-assemblies using a kit of material from a work order.
- Uses hand tools, power tools, hydraulic tools, measuring devices, and material handling equipment.
- Reads, comprehends, and follows blueprints, schematics, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Performs maintenance and repairs on machines as required.
- Adheres to quality assurance procedures and process regulations
- Adheres to OSHA standards and always follows safety regulations.
- Operate and maintains certification for Forklift.
- Experience with Coil Winding Assembly is highly desirable.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to vibration. The employee works near moving mechanical parts and occasionally in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud. The employee is required to wear Personal Protective Equipment e.g. noise protectors, safety glasses, safety shoes.
