JobSummary:
The CodingQuality Team Leader will supervise up to 12 Coding Quality specialists andassist the Coding Quality Manager with daily activities to support CodingServices Operations.
KeyResponsibilities:
Supervise ateam of Coding Quality specialists for the coding projects and campaignsassigned
Monitor andmaintain assigned Coding Quality specialists' daily trackers and weeklyschedules including PTO approvals and payroll related activities
Monitor dailyCoding Quality specialist productivity and accuracy
Assist CodingServices Supervisor with billing and invoice approvals and reconciliations forassigned coders where applicable
Assist CodingQuality Manager in completing and providing weekly Coding Quality specialistreport cards
Assist inproviding feedback and education to assigned Coding Quality specialists basedupon quality review
Assist withcoding of medical records as needed
Handle otherrelated duties as required or assigned
Understands andagrees to role-specific information, security access and responsibilities.
Ensures safetyand confidentiality of data and systems by adhering to the organization'sinformation security policies.
Reads,understands and agrees to security policies and completes all annual securityand compliance training.
RequiredKnowledge:
Current corecoding credential through AHIMA or AAPC (RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CIC, etc.) andthe AAPC CRC (Certified Risk Adjustment Coder) coding certification are bothrequired.
