A Code Enforcement Specialist plays an active role in achieving long-term customer satisfaction inthe context of Community Association relationships. A Code Enforcement Specialist plays an active role in achieving long-term customer satisfaction inthe context of Community Association relationships. Specific responsibilities will vary withdesignated communities and may include, but are not limited to: Inspecting properties formaintenance, landscaping, safety, and compliance issues and accurately recording findings.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Walk property and patrol community
- Conduct code inspections to ensure HOA guidelines are kept
- Record and track code violations,s.a. grass trim, trash, parking, shutters, window trim, etc.
- Create violation letters using an Word template
- Mail out and email violation letters to homeowners notifying them of the code violation
- Track violations letters sent and follow-up to ensure violations have been corrected
- Create and submit violation reports to the BOD on a weekly basis
- Attend quarterly board meetings and give updates on Code enforcement and violations
- Additional responsibilities include assisting the Onsite Manager in covering the office, answering the phones, and responding to homeowner and BOD inquiries by phone, email and in-person
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Required;Associates Degree Preferred
- 0 - 3 years of directly related or closely related experience
- Ability to be outdoors for long periods of time on foot and by car
- Comfortable interacting with homeowners, residents, and board of directors in person, by phone and email
- Professional communication skills; effective conflict resolution skills and techniques
- Confident in skills and abilities; takes ownership and initiative
- Team oriented and customer service driven
