We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Code Enforcement Officer/Animal Enforcement Officer to join our team. As an Animal Enforcement Officer, you will be responsible for enforcing animal control regulations and ensuring public safety. ```Duties:```
- Enforce animal control regulations and ordinances, along with cleanliness
- Investigate complaints related to code violations, animal welfare and public safety
- Respond to calls regarding cleanliness and stray or dangerous animals
- Capture and transport animals as necessary
- Educate the public on responsible pet ownership
- Conduct inspections of animal facilities to ensure compliance with regulations
- Issue citations and warnings for violations
- Maintain accurate records of investigations, citations, and other activities
- Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and animal welfare organizations
```Skills:```
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements related to animal control
- Familiarity with OSHA and FDA regulations pertaining to animal handling and welfare
- Understanding of public health concerns related to animals
- Ability to build positive relationships with community members and stakeholders
- Strong compliance management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in report writing and documentation
