Structured Broadband Services is a Communications maintenance/construction contractor. Our area of operation ranges over 5 counties stretching throughout Central Florida to the East coast of Florida. Our main operation is based out of Oviedo, however we have a satellite office on the Space Coast. We are mainly seeking help on the East Coast, as it says below we need someone who has previously been around cable construction. Need someone who has experience spicing, building and balancing cable.

We're looking for a skilled, experienced professional to join our team as a Splicer. The Splicer will work directly with network engineers and will be responsible for splicing fiber optic/coax cable by stripping and terminating the ends, correctly marking and documenting the splicing procedures, and performing any other activities the team needs. This is a full-time position with company benefits, so we're seeking an individual who is dedicated to his or her work and capable of working independently.
Responsibilities:
- Have basic understanding of fiber optics and coax cable.
- Demonstrate knowledge of splicing practices and procedures.
- Know how to splice two fibers together.
- Be able to splice multimode, single mode, and tight buffer fibers.
- Be able to splice on a pole or in a conduit.
- Be able to splice in both the fusion and mechanical methods.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
