The School District of Charleston is looking for a dedicated Head Coach for Middle School Track for the 2023-24 academic year.
This position is under the supervision of the Athletics Director, and is responsible for coaching student athletes in game strategies and techniques to prepare them for athletic competition. Position motivates student athletes to develop an appreciation of the sport.
Coaching Expectations:
- Recognize that every position in the district contributes to student academic achievement and serves as a role model for all students.
- Lead within your department/building to create learning environments and experiences that directly contribute to student academic achievement.
- Collaborate to identify and respond to student needs in order to support academic achievement.
- Prepare for work in a way that supports student academic achievement.
- Engage in positive interactions and strengthen relationships with families and community members to support students' academic achievement.
- Actively participate in district processes to support continuous improvement aimed at increased student academic achievement.
Qualifications: Experience coaching the activity for which you are applying is preferred.
Salary: Based on coaching experience. All amounts are paid on a stipend.
High School Assistant: Starting at $3100
Middle School Head: Starting at $2000
Middle School Assistant: Starting at $1500
