Position Summary:
The Co-Teacher will serve as a student-centered educatorwho is an advocate for ALL students. Teacher will establish collaborative relationships with colleagues,families, and students. Teacher will coordinate with lead teacher(s) and assist in the planning process of targeted lessons. The Co-Teacher may assist multiple classrooms in the co-teaching model based on schoolwide needs. Co-teacher will understand and model best instructional practices, serve as a member of a Professional Learning Community, and ensure high levels of student learning. Candidate must have a learner, inclusionary, and equity-focused mindset and see that their presence has an impact with students and our school environment. Position begins October 2023.
Qualifications:
-Valid MN Elementary Teaching license
-Student-Centered
-Commitment and belief around ensuring all students learn at high levels
-Demonstrated use of research based instructional and engagement strategies to meet the continuum of individual learning needs while using data and assessments to guide instructional decisions.
-Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents and students to achieve student learning results.
-Bi-lingual skills in Spanish or Somali desired.
FTE/Schedule: 0.5 FTE with the ability to go as high as 1.0 FTE
Salary: Based on Master Agreement
