Cnc Swiss Programmer / Set-Up

• Read and interpret technical drawings or Cad models and use datum structures, to determine best programming process practices.
• Use computer software to model cutting paths and program machines accordingly.
• Use Microsoft Office tools to implement set up sheets for Shop Floor Set-Up use.
• Optimize existing programs to decrease cycle times and improve quality.
• Collaborate with Management, Engineering, Set-up Techs, and Operators on new job launches and continuous improvement activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machining processes as they arise.
• Interpret CMM layout reports to adjust or resolve CNC program issues.
• Assist Engineering / Quoting as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements for CNC Programmer

• The ideal candidate would have prior experience setting up and running CNC machines not limited to Swiss, Mill Turn, VMC, and Basic Lathe machining centers is required.
• Proficient at programing using MasterCam, Part Maker, Fusion 360, (5 or more years as a fulltime programmer is required).
• Must have strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving cutting tool issues as they arise.
• Ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essential.
• Should have a positive and professional attitude.
• Available to work weekends and overtime on occasion.
• Experience with fixture / work holding design is a plus.
• Proficient with Solid Works is a plus.
• 4thAxis Milling or CNC Lathe programming is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
