Allied Plastics is a Custom Plastic Thermoforming Manufacturer located in Twin Lakes, WI.Allied recognizes that its staff is its most important strength and is committed to providing an excellent work environment and opportunities for self-development and growth!This CNC & Robot Programmer assists with set ups, helps to operate and perform all types of programming on our CNC and Robotic machines in order to trim plastic parts to specification.
Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Competitive Pay: Based on experience
CNC & Robot Programmer Duties:
- Assists the CNC and Robot Programmers.
- Continuously improves on cycle time of CNC routine.
- Interprets metrology measurements to be able to adjust CNC programs.
- Creates CNC programs off-line using metrology measuring systems.
- Troubleshoots any problems with CNC/Robot production.
- Helps to train technicians on set up of CNC jobs (can train any other class technicians if needed).
- Confirms project requirements by reviewing program objective, input data, and output requirements
- Arranges project requirements in programming sequence by analyzing requirements; knowledge of computers and all software linked to robotics, programming language, and logic.
- Encodes project requirements by converting work flow information into computer language.
- Programs the CNC/Robot using the required software.
- Confirms program operation by conducting tests; modifying program sequence and/or codes.
- Prepares reference for operators by writing operating instructions.
- Maintains historical records by documenting program development and revisions.
- Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
- Ensures operation of equipment by following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed and in a timely fashion.
- Provides training when needed on robot operation and programming software.
- Be willing to perform other duties that may be outside normal work functions as directed by management.
Requirements
CNC & Robot Programmer Qualifications:
- General knowledge of CNC Machines & Robotics
- Strong computer skill
- Familiar with CAD software
- Strong mathematical skills
- Organized and good communication skills
- High School Diploma
