Cnc Programmer / Machinist

As a CNC Programmer at BW Papersystems, you would be responsible for the proficient creation, coding, testing, and analysis of programs tailored for CNC Machines. Responsibilities extend to the identification and resolution of software errors, executed with a commitment to both timeliness and accuracy. Providing status reports as necessary.

Job Responsibilities:

• Research and document machine user requirements, preparing detailed specifications.
• Develop operation sequences and code software programs in adherence to specified guidelines.
• Conduct performance tests on new and existing programs, identifying and correcting errors for improved efficiency.
• Maintain software files, create backup copies of machine control programs, and communicate control changes.
• Provide continuous documentation on troubleshooting procedures and maintain a historical record of machine tool problems.
• Demonstrate proficiency in advanced shop mathematics, interpretation of GD&T drawings, and reading comprehension of machine tool programs.
• Utilize working knowledge of electronic controls, machine shop processes, and programming languages, including familiarity with MAPICS, MS Office, and CAM software such as SmartCAM or FeatureCAM.

Experience and Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• 3+ Years of experience as a programmer
• Experience using CAD, CAM
• Experience as a CNC Machinist a plus
